The core implementation of ESR across all 568 NHS organisations in England and Wales is now complete!

Wave 12 made their final decision to go-live at the end of March. The full implementation of one of the world’s largest IT implementations on time and within budget is a major achievement. 1.2 million NHS employee records are now live on ESR.

Congratulations and thanks to everyone involved in achieving this significant milestone. We look forward to continuing our work with NHS organisations in realising the full benefits of the system, using all functionality. The strategic agenda will focus on positioning ESR as the workforce information system for the NHS and exploring synergies with other national initiatives.
