KBase Terms and Conditions

INTRODUCTION

These are the standard terms and conditions of use of the ESR Kbase system run by the ESR Central Team which is hosted by the Yorkshire and the Humber Strategic Health Authority as an Department of Health initiative. Please read these Terms carefully, they set out the basis on which you are allowed to use this web site, the information contained within it and the Kbase services. They protect you as a user of the Site and prevent the Site from being used for any illegal or offensive purposes.

By registering as a user with Kbase you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not wish to be bound by these Terms you should not complete the user registration process.

We may amend these Terms at any time. If we change these Terms, we will notify you of this fact on the home page of the Site and will post the new version on the Site. You will be bound by any amended Terms thirty days after the date of posting or earlier if you use the Services at any time after the date of posting. You should check the Terms periodically to ensure that you are aware of and complying with the current version.

KBASE

Kbase is a knowledge management system. The system stores employees' queries about the ESR system and answers to those queries. Please note that the Kbase service is only available to NHS employees and other permitted individuals who have registered and received a login ID and password. An individual will then become a User. Each User will have their own personal profile on the Kbase system.

USER REGISTRATION

Eligibility criteria

Access is available to anyone involved in the implementation of ESR. By registering as a User you agree that you fulfil the criteria

Application and acceptance

Registration is applied for by completing a registration form which is available on the Site. On the registration form you must provide your correct name and other requested details.

Registration is activated only following receipt of an acknowledgement from us. We may refuse or withdraw registration at any time if in our sole opinion you do not meet the eligibility criteria, you have failed to provide us with correct information or other reasonably requested details or you have previously had registration refused or withdrawn by us. Registration is valid for the period of your engagement with the ESR programme.

You may only register on Kbase once.

GENERAL USE OF THE SITE AND YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Information you submit

You are solely responsible for any information submitted by you to the Site. You are responsible for ensuring that all information supplied by you is true, accurate and up-to-date. If any information you enter becomes incorrect or is superseded, you must notify us immediately. We reserve the right to remove any information supplied by you from the Site at our sole discretion, at any time and for any reason without being required to give an explanation.

DISCLAIMER

The information and material contained on Kbase is for the exclusive use of NHS organisations and those organisations assisting an NHS organisation with the implementation of ESR.

The information on Kbase has been produced to assist with the implementation of ESR and the sharing of Best Practice. The information and material on Kbase may be copied and distributed within NHS organisations for personal use where appropriate. However, it may not be copied, distributed or sold on to third parties without the prior knowledge and explicit consent of the Central NHS ESR team.
