GMC Registrations Update in ESR

Purpose and Intended Audience

This notice is to inform all Medical Staffing Officers of a failure in the processing of the full GMC interface file.

This has resulted in the GMC records on ESR not being updated with the new GMC registration status values.

Description

As advised in UN1071 and UN1076, the transition from the old GMC values to the new values was due to take place over the weekend of 14th/15th November.

A fault in the file has caused the interface process to fail.

User Impact

The GMC records on ESR will not have been updated with the new GMC registration values.  The workflow notification to inform MSOs of the new values will not be delivered.

ESR Alert Notice 293 has been issued to your ESR Lead, detailing further information.

Current Status/Update

The interface file has been corrected and resubmitted for loading into ESR.  This is estimated to complete on Tuesday 17th November.

Next Update

A further update will be provided on Tuesday 17th November.
